About

Care That Started With Family.

Cassandra Lawler’s caregiving journey began at home, caring for her grandmother. There was no job title attached to it — just a granddaughter making sure someone she loved was comfortable, respected, and never alone in the hard parts of the day.

That instinct became a career. Over more than twenty-five years, Cassandra has cared for people in hospitals, in hospice, in mental health and rehabilitation settings, in skilled nursing facilities, and in private homes. Different places, different needs, the same simple commitment: treat the person in front of you like family.

Along the way, something kept happening. Families she met would ask whether she could come care for their loved one personally. They didn’t want an agency — they wanted Cassandra. Enough people asked that it became a business, and It’s My Pleasure Companion Care Services was born from it.

The name isn’t a slogan. It’s what she actually says when a family thanks her.

Our philosophy

Tools change, settings change, needs change. It still begins with one person caring for another.

Companion care isn’t medical work. It’s the presence, patience, and practical help that let someone keep living in their own home, on their own terms, with their own routines intact.

What we stand on

Five things we don’t compromise.

Compassion
Care offered the way you would want it offered to your own family.
Dignity & Respect
Every person is met as an adult with a history, preferences, and a say in their own day.
Dependability
Showing up, on time, as promised — the quiet foundation everything else rests on.
Quality of Care
Attention to the small details that make an ordinary day feel comfortable and cared for.
Peace of Mind
Families can breathe easier knowing someone trustworthy is there.
